Terrelle Pryor is saddened by OSU’s slow start

During a radio interview, former Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor told Pittsburgh’s SportsRadio 93.7 The Fan that he feels badly about the current state of the Buckeyes. Pryor talked about how the team’s misfortunes hurt him and that he is saddened by “watching the guys because I know I can be on the field helping them guys.” He reiterated that he “should be on the field.” Ironically, Pryor is directly responsible for the status of the team and the...

The Fort Myers Miracle, a Class A affiliation of the Minnesota Twins, recognizes the impact Ohio State’s Jim Tressel left behind amidst serious NCAA violations looming over the Buckeye nation. So much so, the minor league baseball team announced a unique promotional night to temper the havoc caused by Tressel who surprisingly submitted his letter of resignation yesterday. The Miracle will have a “Rest the Vest” night at Hammond Stadium this Monday when the team hosts the Jupiter Hammerheads....

“A” is for Awful

The barbershop talk this morning is all about the disappointing week 2 in the ACC. To start, #13 Virginia Tech and Coach Beamer were a complete embarrassment being shocked and upset by James Madison University 16-21 in hostile Lane Stadium. The Hokies showed no signs of discipline turning over the ball 3 times and QB Tyrod Taylor was unable to garner any offense during the upset. Kansas quickly turned last week’s upset loss to North Dakota State into a...

Evan Royster: PSU’s dark horse Heisman candidate

Penn State’s Evan Royster passed up on the NFL draft to play one more season under legendary coach Joe Paterno. The senior tailback returns to the Nittany Lions as the most dangerous weapon on offense. The 6’1”, 213 pound speedster and visionary amassed 2,918 yards in just 3 years and is only 481 yards shy of breaking Curt Warner’s (3,398 yards) school record. As the senior leader puts on the pads one final time, he has a legitimate shot...

NCAA gives a black eye to eye black

NCAA football’s governing body just approved rule changes earlier today that will take effect starting in 2011 to include no eye black messages, no wedge blocking, and no major taunting. We first reported the proposed rule change back in February, but now it’s official. Players wearing eye black will be forbidden to write any messages on their glare blocking accessories. While eye black has always been a part of football, the trend of writing messages on them really took off...

Pryor’s Surgery A Success

Ohio State’s Terrelle Pryor underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee yesterday. Pryor is expected to recover quickly and should be at 100% by the start of OSU’s spring practice on April 11th. A week before the 2010 Rose Bowl, Pryor revealed that he suffered ligament damage in one of his knees but claimed that the injury wasn’t significant enough to keep him sidelined. The two year starter from Jeanette, PA enters his third season as the Buckeyes’ signal caller.

The times have changed for the Big 10

“The SEC has a lot more speed-type people. They (the Big Ten) have a lot more big guys. We’ve got great receivers and running backs to try to take advantage of something Penn State doesn’t have.” LSU QB Jordan Jefferson prior to PSU’s speed and defense dominating the game. As the bowl season is coming to an end, the most impressive and improved performance by any conference as a whole was the Big 10. As of late, the conference...

How serious is Pryor’s injury?

During the New Mexico State game back on Halloween, Ohio State’s stud sophomore QB Terrelle Pryor suffered an ankle injury during the win that’s been nagging him ever since. Now it’s just been revealed that he has been dealing with another injury, a partially torn PCL in his knee. Though the Buckeyes and Pryor are mum on which knee is injured, it doesn’t matter, a partial tear will simply slow down Pryor and his aggressiveness. Although, Pryor is assuring...
