With BYU turning to independent status next season, which makes no sense, the university just confirmed its lack of commitment to football, or at least fielding a competitive football team. The school announced its post-season tie in bowl will be the Fight Hunger Bowl come 2013. That’s right, I had to look it up myself. UCLA got lucky this season by slipping into post season play. Tomorrow at 4:30 p.m EST, the Bruins (6-6) will face off against the Temple Owls (9-4) in the EagleBank Bowl in Washington, D.C. This is a bowl game against two diametrically opposite teams.  UCLA plays in a much stronger conference and plays top quality teams. It’s been almost 3 weeks since we last saw LB Sean Lee on the field when the Nittany Lions decimated the Temple Owls 31-6. With the win, Lee suffered a left knee injury. At first, it didn’t appear to be too serious, but now, it looks like Joe Paterno is going to keep out his star LB for another game-his third straight.
