Do you really want more Pizza! Pizza!?

The Little Caesars Pizza Bowl confirmed where it ranks as one of the lowest tiered bowl games possible. The organizers have come to an agreement with the Big 10 and Mid-American conference (MAC) for the next four bowl seasons. Presumably to build up anticipation, the committee announced that the bowl game will feature the Big 10 8th seed (No. 8 Big 10 bowl eligible team) against either the No. 1 MAC or No. 2 MAC team. Three And Out

Troy defensive back Jorrick Calvin has been ruled academically ineligible for the 2009 football season. He also intercepted two passes, recovered three fumbles, and had nine pass break-ups. The loss of his presence on defense will definitely be felt.   Unless Calvin is able to win an unlikely appeal, he will be watching Troy’s games from a distance.

With construction not expected to be completed on the stadium until 2011, FAU officials are exploring contingency plans to host the game. In addition to Soldier and Ford Fields, Land Shark Stadium (Dolphins) in Miami is also being looked at as a potential site for the game....

A look at the Hilltoppers

Welcome to the Sun Belt! This will be David Elson and the Hilltoppers‘ first season as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. Most major sporting news networks ranked the Hilltoppers to be dead last in the league. Last season, they were 111th in total offense (286.1 yds/game), 73rd in total defense (375.3 yds/game) and 111th in points allowed (27.2 points/game). With their best recruiting class ever, the Hilltoppers should improve from last season’s 2-10 mark. The Offense returns...
