The Garrett Gilbert era is officially underway in Austin, Texas. A construction conflict with Florida Atlantic University’s new football stadium could force the Owls to play their September 11th, 2010 contest against Michigan State at either Chicago’s Soldier Field (Bears) or Detroit’s Ford Field (Lions). With construction not expected to be completed on the stadium until 2011, FAU officials are exploring contingency plans to host the game.
