Cal’s star RB Jahvid Best will not play in the team’s Poinsetta Bowl game. Best suffered a frightening concussion in early November and hasn’t played a down of football since. This has been a disappointing end of the season for the one time Heisman hopeful. Before suffering the injury, Best had rushed for 864 yards and 16 TDs. Cal Loses WR Boateng for 4-6 Weeks

Cal’s leading wideout Nyan Boateng will miss 4-6 weeks after suffering a broken foot against Minnesota on Saturday. Cal has gotten off to a strong start this season and enters Pac-10 play this week when they travel to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks.
