The University of Oklahoma commemorated former head coach Barry Switzer by unveiling a bronze statue of the legendary coach at the Switzer Center this past Saturday during a well received pre-game dedication ceremony. In attendance included Big12 commissioner Chuck Neinas, Bob Stoops, and former and current OU coaches and players. The ghost of Barry Switzer seems to be cursing athletes in Norman, Oklahoma. Switzer’s ghost continues to haunt left tackle Donald Stephenson. Stephenson, who was slated to be in the starting rotation for 2010, was picked-up this past weekend for an outstanding municipal warrant. With his second arrest in less than one year, his days on the playing field could be in jeopardy.
