Is Fickell the best choice for OSU?

There is no question Luke Fickell has a passion for Ohio State football, but as the program is in the aftermath of Jim Tressel and an ongoing NCAA investigation, did athletic director Gene Smith make the right decision in naming Fickell head coach? Ohio State has a tarnished reputation amidst the cash and tattoo scandal. In an opportunity to show the public that the university wants to change its image, the AD made a questionable move by hiring an...

“VEST IN PEACE” Jim Tressel

At first, the Family Clothesline in Happy Valley decided to cash-in on former Buckeye coach Jim Tressel by mocking him with the “Legends” and “Liars” t-shirt. It now appears the trash talking has moved north to Ann Arbor, Michigan. The maize and blue may have created one of its better rivalry motivated shirts with the launch of the “VEST IN PEACE” t-shirt. As facts continue to surface in OSU, there will certainly be no shortage of jokes aimed at...

The Fort Myers Miracle, a Class A affiliation of the Minnesota Twins, recognizes the impact Ohio State’s Jim Tressel left behind amidst serious NCAA violations looming over the Buckeye nation. Air Force must Aim Higher

For those 70,000 fans that witnessed the spectacular aerial T-38 flyover at Kinnick Stadium back on November 20, 2010, the Air Force has finally come down on the pilots. When Iowa hosted Ohio State, the university thought a military flyover would be a patriotic way to conclude the pregame festivities. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to the fans, the squandering created an unnecessary risk for all those who attended by flying too close to the ground. Maj. Christopher Kopacek was the flight...

The Art of Stealing

Former Ohio State Buckeye quarterback Art Schlichter, 50, is under investigation for running an alleged ticket scheme victimizing dozens of investors for over one million dollars to presumably fund his gambling addiction. Schlichter and Anita Barney, wife of Wendy’s co-founder Robert Barney, would promise investors exclusive sporting event tickets, to include this Sunday’s Super Bowl, but after multiple payments, tickets were never delivered. It’s still uncertain about Barney’s knowledge of the scam as she stated she was conned by...
