Cowboys WR Justin Blackmon (#81) returns to the field after DUI suspension.

Stillwater got a little relief today as potential coach of the year Mike Gundy announced WR Justin Blackmon is back on the field after serving a one game suspension for a pending DUI charge. Blackmon returns just in time as No. 19 Oklahoma State (7-1, 3-1) takes on No. 22 Baylor (7-2, 4-1) this Saturday with huge conference implications. The winner takes the lead in the race for first place in the division.

In Blackmon’s absence, Oklahoma State struggled on offense scoring well below their 50 point average. Despite fumbles, dropped passes, and 100 yards in penalties (flagged 10 times), the Cowboys were able to defeat Kansas State 24-14 on the road, something they have not done since 1988.

One player in particular who anxiously awaited Blackmon’s return was QB Brandon Weeden who is having a fabulous junior season throwing for 2,547 yards with 23 TDs.  Weeden looks forward to reconnecting with Blackmon who is having a remarkable season amassing 1,112 receiving yards with 14 TDs.
