There will be a lot of buzz opening day at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field come kick-off this September. Georgia Tech Heisman hopeful Jonathan Dwyer (Jr., 6’0, 235 lbs.) was named the 2009 Preseason ACC Player of the Year in a vote by the media who attended the league’s annual Football Kickoff at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, Ga.

Last season, Dwyer was named the 2008 ACC Player of the Year beating out Clemson’s C.J. Spiller. He recorded 1,395 yards and 12 TDs in 200 attempts and had 8 catches for 209 yards and 1 TD.

Dwyer hopes to top last season’s numbers with this year’s triple-option offense and bring the first Heisman home to Atlanta.
