The Georgia Tech camp reported that RB and All-ACC player Jonathan Dwyer (Jr. 6’0, 235 lbs.) did not practice yesterday. He is apparently recovering from a hip flexor injury. The team is reporting the injury is not serious. Let’s hope this is true as the Yellow Jackets are not deep with experienced RBs. Freshman Richard Watson (Fr. 6’1, 22 lbs.) is slated to back-up Dwyer if he does not play.

There will be a lot of buzz opening day at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field come kick-off this September. Georgia Tech Heisman hopeful Jonathan Dwyer (Jr., 6’0, 235 lbs.) was named the 2009 Preseason ACC Player of the Year in a vote by the media who attended the league’s annual Football Kickoff at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, Ga.
