USC’s Marc Tyler will start at tailback for the Trojans on Thursday night when USC travels to Hawaii for their season opener against the Warriors. Tyler and Allen Bradford were competing for the starting job this off-season and many expected Bradford to fill the shoes of former Trojan RB Joe McKnight. However, Tyler had other plans in mind.
Plagued by a toe injury last season, Tyler only saw action in one game in which he rushed five times for 72 yards and a touchdown. Bradford, USC’s top returning rusher, ran for 668 yards and 8 touchdowns last year. While Tyler will start, Bradford will be sure to see his fair share of carries this upcoming season.
