Seantrel Henderson and LeBron James have something in common, they are both moving to Miami this summer. As the best high school player in the 2010 recruiting class, Henderson was heavily recruited by top programs but ultimately committed to USC on Kiffin’s assurance that the school would not face heavy penalties for violating NCAA rules. In the aftermath of the NCAA’s investigation and sanctions, Henderson immediately requested a release from USC to seek alternative programs.
Early reports indicated it was either going to be Ohio State or Miami, but after a visit to South Florida, Randy Shannon was able to draw the 6’8 340 pound youngster to the Hurricanes. Fans in South Beach are a buzz with King James announcing his move to Miami and now the top high school athlete put his recruiting saga to rest. With Kiffin granting an unconditional release to Henderson, he can play immediately for Miami.
