Florida finished the 2010 NFL Draft with a nation’s-best nine players drafted

The 2010 NFL draft yielded great returns for the Florida Gators as the Gators had more players selected than any other school in the draft. The Gators set a school record by having 6 players taken in this first three rounds of this year’s draft, and tied a school record by having 3 players selected in the first round. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to many as the Gators have been the premiere college football team in the country over the past 4 years.  Head coach Urban Meyer will definitely use this year’s draft success as a recruiting tool for perspective athletes. It must truly be great to be a Florida Gator.

The SEC also proved its dominance by having a record setting, and conference best, 49 players selected in the 2010 NFL draft.
