This is disappointing news for the Aggie Nation. The 305 pound sophomore is a stud and was expected to be the starter come 2010. He was a consistent player who was quickly understanding the new 3-4 alignment. Unfortunately, after this domestic dispute, he has been suspended indefinitely by Mike Sherman. With Sherman’s no-nonsense approach, Dorsey’s playing days are uncertain.
Sherman will not hesitate to suspended players for violating team rules, just ask OL Rhontae Scales (assault), OL Matt Allen (DUI), or WR Terrence McCoy (DWI). If history stays true, Dorsey will not be seen in the Aggie locker room anytime soon.
Incidentally, at the time of his arrest, Dorsey had two outstanding warrants for failing to provide a driver’s license or liability insurance. From the looks of it, Dorsey may be best served if he gets his act together first before dealing with the responsibilities of being a college football player.
We wish Dorsey the best of luck. We all make mistakes, the question is, what do we do about it?
