Meyer apologizes for stern comments

March Madness has taken over the college world by storm, but here at The Matador we want to make sure the fans are kept up-to-date with happenings around the gridiron.

Not only has Duke dominated on the hardwood, but the Blue Devils must be excited about their heralded freshman recruit, QB Brandon Connette, who is the real deal. He lead three impressive scoring drives in the Blue’s 24-3 win over the White team during Saturday’s spring game.

Alabama’s “system for academics” appears to be too stringent for reserve QB Star Jackson. The redshirt sophomore QB better get his grades up if he wants to actually be that Star.

An arrest has been made for the senseless slaying of featured RB Kendall Berry. Former FIU player Quentin Wyche turned himself in after a police wide search. Apparently, the stabbing resulted from an early altercation between Berry’s girlfriend and Wyche.

Last but not least, Coach Urban Meyer apologized to the reporter he berated over one of his players. It looks like Coach Meyer can’t get out of the spotlight even with the departure of his sidekick Tim Tebow.

Now back to basketball. Let’s see if Tom Izzo can continue his impressive run and can Baylor upset the boys in Blue? Enjoy the games.
