Clausen’s toe injury during last season’s Michigan State game is still keeping him on the sidelines, but he will be ready on April 9th to showoff his QB talent to NFL scouts

For you Redskins and 49ers fans, the former face of Notre Dame may be headed your way. QB Jimmy Clausen attended Notre Dame’s Pro Day yesterday and spoke with team representatives from both the ‘Skins and 49ers. Unfortunately, Clausen was unable to showoff is arm and fancy footwork to the NFL scouts as he is still nursing an injury to his right toe. He will forgo actual NFL workouts until April 9th when he returns to South Bend to perform in front of NFL scouts.

In the meantime, he is jogging laps, lifting weights and doing core exercises to build up his strength and stamina. If you happen to be in South Bend, you can catch him hanging out at the Loftus Sports Center as he is supporting his 12 teammates who have hopes and dreams of making it to the next level.

During his tenure at Notre Dame, Clausen got a lot of heat for his cockiness and arrogance, but if you really get to know Clausen he is the exact opposite. In fact, it’s his confidence and his ability to be part of a team that will make him a top draft pick. Despite some skeptics, Clausen is a solid QB with exceptional aim and accuracy.

Best of luck to you Jimmy Clausen.
