Can you kick it? No I can’t!

USF and Skip Holtz were just about lined up to offer star high school kicker Marvin Kloss a grey shirt for the 2010 season with the opportunity to be placed on scholarship for the 2011 season. Hearing of this news, Kloss decided to celebrate as any normal high school teenager would by reveling at the neighborhood house party. During this party, Kloss presumably got drunk and decided to practice the snatch and grab play. Regrettably, the play didn’t quite work. Kloss was subsequently arrested for stealing over $8,200 of valuables from the home during the party.

According to Collier authorities, the victim stated several items of value were taken from her home to include a Wii, a gold bracelet, a watch, and a camera. Apparently, the victim was out of town when the theft occurred. The twist to the story is the victim’s neighbor is partly to blame because the neighbor was supposed to watch the house while the victim was away. Somehow, the victim’s instructions of how to watch the house were lost in translation because throwing a house party is not generally what you do.

Fortunately for Kloss, not all is lost. As a guest of the state of Florida, he will sort of be on scholarship because he can get his degree while in jail at no significant cost.

It’s sad to see a potential ball player land behind bars for something so idiotic. We wish you the best of luck Kloss, but everything you get, is because you deserved it.
