Cody enters the Senior Bowl a bit out of shape

The NFL scouts could not help but miss Mount Cody today. Big Bama Terrence Cody tipped the scale during the Senior Bowl pregame preparations. The 6’5 Cody came in at a whopping 370 pounds, slimmer than the earth shaking 390 pounds during his junior college days.

The scouts are concerned because while at Alabama, Cody would often come out of the game during 3rd downs and obvious passing situations because he was out of steam. This situation is comparable to the Redskins’ Albert Haynesworth who is 6’6 and a jiggly 350 lbs (so he says). For all you Skins fans, you know too well how often Haynesworth doesn’t play because of his lack of stamina. There is fear Cody will produce the same results as questions loom regarding the number of quality snaps he can take.

For Cody to move up on the draft board, he will have to seriously work on his conditioning and most importantly his diet.
