Former Texas Tech DC and interim coach Ruffin McNeill will take over the reigns at ECU

All is quiet over at Team Matador as we get ready for the weekend with Tim Tebow and the East-West Shrine Game. So if you are like me and you are enjoying a cup of coffee this Friday morning, here are a couple of links that will get you going.

It looks like MSU is tired of being in the middle of the pack when it comes to recruiting, so to spur their rankings, the Bulldogs took some of their prized high school recruits to a strip club on their most recent recruiting visit. A good move to grab the high schoolers’ attention except for the fact that the recruits posted their school sanctioned excursion on their facebook pages. Now the school and the NCAA is investigating this dog and pony show.

Yesterday, tragedy hit Tulane University. The Green Wave lost LB Sule Osagiede who was involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident near his home town in Texas. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Osagiede family and the university.

Finally, despite all the tree sitting protests, Cal’s Memorial Stadium is going to be retrofitted at the cost of $321 million dollars. Meanwhile, the protesters are looking for ways to continue to fight the good fight. Perhaps the students can revisit an old issue.
