It’s that time of the year where Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) makes his annual PR push for Boise State. Hatch has written a letter to President Obama asking that the Boise State football team be invited to the White House along with D1 national champs Alabama.
It is customary tradition that the president of the United States host championship winning collegiate and professional teams at the White House during the spring. Alabama will be making their trip at some point this spring after winning the BCS championship game last Thursday.
Hatch, who we’re sure has already been given an honorary diploma from Boise St., feels that the president should invite the Broncos to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., as well. Hatch needs to give his shtick up. Boise State, while going undefeated this season, did so by only playing TWO ranked teams all year. WAC anyone?
Alabama had a much tougher SEC road to travel on their way to an undefeated season and should not have to share their moment with anyone else.
