Chalk up yet another win in TCU’s column. The Football Writers Association of America named TCU head coach Gary Patterson their coach of the year. Patterson’s has led this year’s TCU team to their first undefeated regular season since 1938, and a Fiesta Bowl match-up against Boise State. All in all, this is Patterson’s 7th coach of the year award.
Many expected Patterson to leave TCU last season as several times came courting but he’s insisted that he’s happy in Ft. Worth, and he has no plans on leaving soon. TCU squares off against undefeated Boise State this evening in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl in one of the most highly anticipated BCS bowl match-ups in the history of the BCS. It should be a good one!
