Christmas came early for Washington Huskies fans as it has just been reported that QB Jake Locker will be returning for one more season under center. Locker has been a Huskies staple since 2006 and refuses to go away. Since he has one more year of eligibility, he is going to take it and take his team to the promised land. Coach Steve Sarkisian couldn’t be more thrilled. His star QB threw for 2,800 yards under the Sarkisian pro-style offense.
Even though Locker was slated to be a top draft pick in the 2010 NFL draft, it still didn’t persuade him. The Matador is not sure if Locker saw the memo on Sam Bradford or not, but Bradford came back for one more season and look what happened. He almost ended his career with one bad sack. Though I don’t agree, I do get why Bradford came back, he had a legitimate shot to win the NCG. On the other hand, Washington has no shot at the NCG much less the Pac 10 crown.
Go pro Locker! The money is there to be made and god knows you deserve it.
