“Spent most of the morning on the phone with recruits,” Kelly wrote. “House got egged last night and the sign on the lawn wasn’t a FOR SALE sign.” This precious message was twitted to former Cincinnati head coach Brian Kelly’s Twitter account earlier today. Apparently, some disgruntled Bearcat fans took their frustration over Kelly’s departure to Notre Dame out on his home with a few cartons of eggs. One can’t help but wonder if WR Mardy Gilyard helped lead the charge.

Kelly, fresh off of leading Cincinnati to an undefeated season and their first ever BCS bowl berth, spurned Cincinnati for Notre Dame last Thursday. As if that wasn’t enough for fans to handle, he also announced that he would not be coaching them in the Sugar Bowl. Kelly may want to hire a full-time security staff to watch over his home during the transition to South Bend.
