Florida four considering NFL

Fresh off the heels of a surprising blowout loss to Alabama, four Gators look to have their sights set on the riches of the NFL. According to a writer for the Gainesville Sun, The Pouncey  twins (Maurkice & Mike), reserve RB Chris Rainey, and semi-starter SS Ahmad Black all are considering bolting from Gainesville after this season. The four, affectionately called the Lakeland Gatornaughts, came to Florida from Lakeland High School after playing there together all four years for the Dreadnaughts..

I’m not Mel Kiper, nor do I claim to know his hair stylist, but Rainey would be best served to return to Florida for his redshirt junior season. Rainey has seen some playing time this year but has only rushed for 4 TDs and a little over 540 yards. These stats, along with the fact that he’s probably a generous 5’7 in platforms, don’t bode well for his NFL aspirations.  Black has been solid for the Gators when he’s seen game action and it is a bit of a mystery as to why Urban Meyer didn’t play him more frequently. The Pouncey’s will be stars at the next level without a doubt. Things in Gainesville keep getting interesting.
