Holding a press conference after you get fired is pretty risky these days. After Tigers head coach Tommy West was fired, West took the podium, starting off by saying “This is not a good day at the office,” then continued with an impassioned plea for support for the Tigers football program–“We’ve got to help this football program… or do away with it.”
Apparently, he thinks Memphis should get rid of their football program because the school fails to properly support the program to get the team back on the right track. It’s no wonder he is no longer the coach.
