South Carolina and Maryland will pay tribute to the US military and its veterans on November 11th. The two teams will wear new school specific camouflage uniforms the Saturday before Veterans Day. Under Armor is making the uniforms which will include a Wounded Warrior Project patch, words like courage, honor, and integrity will be placed on the backs of the jerseys instead of the player’s name as well.
Army wore similar jerseys during last year’s Commander In Chief game. Game jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project charity. It’s good to see the NCAA honoring the military and the veterans this way, hopefully they can make it a yearly occurrence.
