Patcham (71) was in the OL rotation when Tebow got knocked out

A top back-up in Florida’s offensive line rotation went down hard during Tuesday’s practice. It looks like OT Matt Patchan in done for the season after tearing his ACL during non-contract drills on Tuesday.

Patchan is no stranger to injuries as he suffered a leg injury late last season causing him to miss the last three games of the season. Patchan will obviously have surgery to repair the tear, but his football playing days remain questionable.

Additionally, this will be a cause for concern as Florida’s OL needs to step-up against LSU and protect Tebow if he plays. Tebow can’t afford to take another big hit. Also, the line is responsible for Florida’s successful running game which relies heavily on constant rotation and fresh legs. This is a big hit for the Gators.
