It is clear the times are changing. Yesterday, Kentucky’s head coach Rich Brooks went through a serious surgical procedure to remove skin cancer from his lower leg. Rather than having the AD or the University release an official statement, Brooks decided to inform the world in an unconventional way, through a tweet:

WhiteHad a skin cancer cut out of my lower leg. Old age is not much fun. Planed [sic] tomorrow’s practice and we will have most of our guys back.about 21 hours ago from web.
I’m not sure how the general public feels about tweeting, but it’s really disturbing that this is the wave of the future.  Anyway, Coach Brooks said the procedure went well and you will see him on the sidelines this weekend as the Wildcats take on Alabama October 3rd.
