Stafon Johnson Injures Self in Weight Lifting Incident

USC RB Stafon Johnson was injured earlier today during a  weight lifting incident. Johnson was bench pressing when the weight slipped from hands and landed on his throat. A source from USC said that Johnson was coughing up blood and bleeding out his nose immediately after the incident. Johnson was taken to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

Johnson is USC’s second leading rusher on the year and is their main goal line back. He has a team high 5 TDs and 157 yards on the season. More details will be provided as they are made public but our thoughts and prayers are with Johnson and the USC community. Football aside, we all hope that this young man is able to recover fully and live a normal and active life.
