After a bad break, Brown is back

For you Southern Miss fans, please stand-up and applause when WR DeAndre Brown (#5) runs onto the field to face UCF. As a freshman, Brown set school records with 67 receptions and 12 touchdowns.  He led the Golden Eagles straight to the New Orleans Bowl where, in a snap, his season and possibly his career ended.

After nine months of intense rehab, Brown fully recovered and he is ready to ignite the Golden Eagles offense. Coach Larry Fedora is confident Brown is back to his old form and “we’re excited obviously” of his return.

The Matador is moved by Brown’s uncanny ability to overcome a broken leg and even more impressed with his quick rehab straight back to the gridiron. Kudos to Brown!
