As fate would have it, Michigan’s Rich Rodriguez may have one more problem to deal with. Starting RB Brandon Minor is questionable for Saturday’s game against Western Michigan. It appears Minor is suffering from a nagging ankle injury. The team is limiting his practice duties and he will be re-evaluated before Saturday’s kick-off.
If he doesn’t play or has limited playing time, this would hurt the Wolverines offense as Minor lead the Wolverines with 533 yards rushing last season and was poised to reach the 1,000 yard plateau this season.
The good news, after Minor, Michigan has running backs by committee in Carlos Brown, Michael Shaw, Vincent Smith and Kevin Grady.
It appears Michigan also has QBs by committe in Nick Sheridan, true freshmen Denard Robinson and Tate Forcier. No starter has been announced.
The Matador wishes Rodriguez some luck after all his off-season issues.
