Kennedy (#88) during his playing days at Harvard
Today, Edward “Ted” Kennedy is being memorialized at Harvard by flying the U.S. flag at half-staff to recognize this legendary lawmaker.
The football team is also grieving in its own way by draping his #88 jersey in his old college football locker. Coach Tim Murphy also observed a moment of silence after this morning’s practice to honor Kennedy’s greatness and service to the country.
Kennedy graduated from Harvard in 1956 and pulled in a few touchdowns during his playing days. He was a gritty defensive end and played sparingly on offense.
The Kopechene family could not be reached for comment.
