It appears a dozen or so Tulane football players may have the H1N1 virus (more commonly known as the swine flu). The players are being told to stay in their apartment or dorm and the team will treat them there.
Two players have already been tested positive. Since the effected players have minor like symptoms, they should bounce back and be on the field shortly as soon as they are cleared by the team’s physician, Greg Stewart.
As an added precaution, Stewart and his staff are screening every football player and football staff member every day to check for flu-like symptoms.
