Former LSU and starting Jacksonville State QB Ryan Perrilloux has been suspended for the home opener against Georgia Tech. The team issued a statement saying Perrilloux was suspended for violating team rules (as if we haven’t heard that before).
Though the exact infraction remains a mystery, we do know that Perrilloux had prior problems at LSU for skipping classes, failed drug tests, missing meetings, and arriving late to workouts. He was a headache for the coaching staff at LSU, thus he was dismissed.
Coach Crowe did confirm Perrilloux’s suspension is based off of a one time incident and no legal issues were involved. Expect to see Perrilloux under center when Jacksonville State matches up against Florida State for the second game of the season.
