SC's DE Armstead out with broken foot

Southern Cal continues to draw attention whether they want to or not. This morning, DE Armond Armstead (So. 6’5, 295 lbs) broke his left foot, the fifth metatarsal, during a routine play in practice. If tomorrow’s surgery goes as planned, he will be out for at least six weeks, but more importantly, he will not be able to play in the rematch against Ohio State.

Armstead was initially slated to back-up Averell Spicer. Fortunately for the Trojans, they have a lot of talent and depth at the tackle position. As of now, Wes Horton and Nick Perry will be battling it out for Armstead’s spot.
