Givens now a Scarlet Knight
It’s official. Ex-Penn State Nittany Lion recruit Darrell Givens (Fr. 6’1, 180 lbs.) was cleared and is academically eligible to enroll and play for Rutgers. Rutgers initially offered Givens a scholarship, but he elected to play for the Nittany Lions. Since he had academic issues, he was released by the Lions.
Rutgers is getting a star CB in Givens, who hails from Indian Head, Maryland and was ranked #11 by scout.com. Givens should be suited up and ready for Rutgers’ first practice and will compete for a starting spot.
