Iowa and Kirk Ferentz finalized contract paperwork on Monday giving the 53 year old head coach $3M a year for the next 7 years. Illinois is contemplating on whether or not to extend Ron Zook’s contract for an additional year (Zook has a 19-30 record at Illinois). This would leave Zook at the healm through 2014. The  president of the University, Joseph White, has recommended the approval of the extension. The board of trustees, who meet next Thursday, will likely follow White’s recommendation and approve the extension. If approved, this will be Zook’s second extension.
