Lou Holtz and the fighting Irish come out of the Land of the Rising Sun victorious. The Notre Dame alumni team beat Japan 19-3 on Saturday. Japan shockingly took an early 3-0 lead in the 1st quarter but Notre Dame quickly tied it up with Scott Cengia‘s 37-yarder early in the second. Lou Holtz is coaching the Notre Dame Fighting Irish once again, The Fighting Irish Alumni team that is. On Saturday, July 25th, at 3AM US EST, Holtz will lead Notre Dame stars of yesterday into the Tokyo Dome for a gridiron battle against Team Japan in The Japan Bowl. Coach Kiyoyuki Mori will call the plays for Team Japan.
