Former head coach Michael Haywood sues Pitt for $3.75 million

For Pitt fans, coach Michael Haywood was a short lived memory as he was fired by Pitt Executive Vice Chancellor Jerome Cochran 17 days into his supposed five-year tenure.  Haywood returns to Pittsburgh with a complaint in-hand suing the University if Pittsburgh for $3.75 million dollars for breach of contract. Former Sooner Jameel Owens (#4) was cleared by the NCAA to play in 2010

On Monday, WR Jameel Owens got some good news from the NCAA. Owens, a former Oklahoma Sooner top-prospect, transferred to Tulsa to be closer to his sick mother. Per NCAA rules, players are required to sit out one year when transferring between D-1 schools. Owens petitioned the NCAA to waive the transfer rule citing family health reasons. The NCAA reviewed the petition and ultimately granted a transfer waiver that cleared the path for Owens to suit up in 2010....
