Air Force schooled Georgia Tech in old-fashioned style football beating the Yellow Jackets 14-7 in the Advocare 100 Independence Bowl. The Falcons ran the option to perfection much to the delight of the Shreveport faithful. Falcons QB Tim Jefferson handed the ball off to six different backs for a combined 170 yards. QB Jaybo Shaw breaks Collarbone

Georgia Tech’s sophomore back-up QB Jaybo Shaw sustained an unfortunate injury by breaking his collarbone during this Saturday’s scrimmage. As a result, the extent of his 2009 playing career is still to be determined. It is anticipated that he will miss approximately 2 months and the team may elect to redshirt  Shaw and move up Tevin Washington in the rotation.
