The 96th Rose Bowl is getting a little more interesting as both Oregon and Ohio State are dealing with shrinking rosters. The Oregon Ducks have just announced that back-up WR Jamere Holland is academically ineligible for post season play. During the season, he amassed 13 catches for 199 yards and 2 TDs. The Eugene Register-Guard reported that this is nothing new for Holland and the Ducks as he has been dealing with academic issues all throughout his collegiate career....

Ohio State’s WR Ray Small is still not on the depth chart for today’s game against the Navy Midshipmen. It was reported last night that Small, OSU’s kick returner and wide receiver, was ill and would not play in the opener. Rumors are also speculating that Small may have been kicked-off the team or left the team for repeated violations of team rules. Ohio State’s WR and PR Ray Small has been cleared to rejoin the team by coach Jim Tressel. However, Small is still in the doghouse and has a short leash around his neck primarily for his academic issues. Tressel has not given him all the privileges yet of being on the team and Small will not be partaking in the official team photo later this week.
