Beaver Stadium was quieter than Pattee Library during final exam week as Northwestern jumped out early for a 21-0 lead. However, the tide turned for Penn State with the Nittany Lions driving over 90 yards for a TD in the final seconds of the half to cut the lead to 21-7. Either freshman QB Robert Bolden is that good or everyone else under center in Happy Valley is just that bad. Coach Joe Paterno is doing something he has never done in Penn State history-starting a freshman QB to open the season.
