California Dreamin’

Lost in USC’s signing day madness was David Sills’ verbal commit to the Trojans. Unlike the rest of USC’s current recruiting  class, Sills will be arriving on campus in 2015. In the last 48 hours, the QB from Delaware has become the most popular teenager in the country outside of the Jonas Brothers. Sills and his family headed to Manhattan Friday morning for a guest appearance on Good Morning America. Call me crazy but isn’t 13 a little too...

For my readers on the east coast and especially in Washington, D.C., brace for a whopper of a snowstorm. Apparently D.C. is going to get hit with 18-24 inches of snow in the next two days. So if you happen to be stuck in Reagan National Airport on your way to South Florida for the Super Bowl, here are a few links to help you pass the time while you scarf down a Five Guys Burger and top it off...

Brian Kelly continues to sever his ties with Cincinnati

It looks like Brian Kelly took a page out of Lane Kiffin’s book on how to treat your former school. It wasn’t enough for Kelly to abandon his undefeated team and leave his players coachless weeks before the Allstate Sugar Bowl, but now he is working on swiping his Cincy recruits. Since the weakest and most questionable spot on Notre Dame’s depth chart is the QB position, Kelly decided to turn to his old stomping grounds to rectify the...

Under The Knife

USC QB Matt Barkley underwent wrist surgery earlier this week to repair damage suffered on his right wrist. The Trojans are hoping that Barkley makes a full recovery in time for the start of spring ball. USC welcomes new head coach Lane Kiffin and the coaching staff are hoping that Barkley can make it back by spring practice as Kiffin will be implementing a new offense for Barkley to run. As of now, Barkley and Mitch Mustain are the...

Kiffin to be memorialized in Knoxville

January 21, 2010

Fans are disgusted with Lane Kiffin’s selfish and sudden departure.  So much so that a Knoxville attorney and season ticket holder, Drew McElroy, drafted a check for $262 and filed the appropriate paperwork to have the city’s waste water treatment plant renamed the Lane Kiffin Sewage Center. He is convinced that this cesspool of waste is a fitting honorary title that properly memorializes Kiffin’s actions and depicts everything Kiffin stands for and represents. It’s good to see the Vols nation...

USC continues to play dirty

Since being booted out of Tinseltown in 2004, Ed Orgeron has done everything in his power to come back to the west coast. With Lane Kiffin surprisingly dropping Tennessee for the Trojans, the door opened for Orgeron to pack his bags and follow Kiffin. Unfortunately, it looks like Orgeron wanted to take more than his personal belongings to Southern California. Prior to departing Knoxville, Orgeron contacted Tennessee’s mid-term enrollees and offered them a piece of advice–do not attend class this semester if you...

College Football’s Hypocrisy

College Football’s Hypocrisy

In a college football world where we expect loyalty and commitment to teams from our student athletes, college football coaches are able to pick up and leave on a whim without any penalty. The double standard is glaring. This young off-season has seen more coaching twists from L.A. to Knoxville, than a One Tree Hill episode. Former Cincy coach Brian Kelly started the snowball effect which is now infull speed. Kelly had taken the Bearcats to a school best 12-0 season record and...
