The service academies clearly play by a different set of standards when it comes to player discipline. Navy’s head coach Ken Niumatalolo dismissed slotback Marcus Curry from the team for violation of team rules. Navy takes a hit as starting nose guard Nate Frazier (6’3, 292 lbs.) was dismissed from the football team this past Monday. Cmdr. Joe Carpenter, the navy spokesman, confirmed the dismissal and stated “participating on a varsity athletic team is a privilege.” The exact accounts of the dismissal were not released; however, Navy is losing a strong anchor on the defensive side of the line.
