Fans in Corvallis got some bad news from the NCAA. Unfortunately, the NCAA denied Oregon State QB Lyle Moevao’s appeal for an additional year of eligibility. Moevao injured his right shoulder during the 2008 season that ultimately led to shoulder surgery. After recovering from the surgery, Moevao worked his way back onto the field for the 2009 season to only play one down. In October of 2009, he injured his right ankle which ended his season. Texas junior Brandon Collins has been dismissed from the football team after being arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity . Collins is using a redshirt this year and hasn’t played in any of the team’s football games this season. Collins was ruled academically ineligible for this season which forced Texas to burn a redshirt season on him.
