UGA’s Derrick Lott will unfortunately miss the start of preseason camp after he was sidelined from a motor scooter accident last weekend. At approximately 3:35 pm, Lott was driving his scooter to an on-campus parking lot when he inadvertently scraped the side of the Butts-Mehre building with his leg causing his injury. The Georgia Bulldogs lost freshman DT Derrick Lott for the season. Lott had surgery to his right ankle this past Friday in Athens, Georgia. Since Lott did not play in the season opener, Lott will apply to the NCAA for a medical redshirt giving him 4 remaining years of eligibility.
