With the ousting of Colorado head coach Dan Hawkins earlier this month, the Buffaloes have been scouring the country to find a replacement for a depleted football team and program. Two seasons too late: Dan Hawkins fired

The entire state of Colorado is reporting that Dan Hawkins will be relieved of his coaching duties later today. Hawkins sealed his fate last Saturday after he blew a 45-17 fourth quarter lead to Kansas with twelve minutes remaining in the game (lost 52-45). Hawkins arrived in Boulder with great expectations after much success as the Broncos head coach going 53-11 during his tenure.
