Michael "Bacon" Atkinson
The Matador reported earlier this month that Boise State’s DT Michael “Bacon” Atkinson was picked-up for a DUI. At the time, there was no indication on how the school or team would handle the situation. It is now being reported by the Idaho Statesman that Bacon will be suspended for a minimum of 3 games.
Coach Chris Peterson commented on the suspension and said, “He’s got some things to do along with being suspended,” Petersen said. “If he takes care of what he needs to take care of for his team, for us, for the university, then we’ll get him back after that.”
Atkinson will miss games against Oregon, Miami (OH) and Fresno State. This suspension will coincidentally allow for more time to heal is injured ankle–how convenient.
