Troy punter Will Goggans sports his Santa beard in the holiday spirit
If you happened to watch the trifecta of boring college football bowl games yesterday, thankfully there was one highlight that made it all worth it. During the New Orleans bowl, Troy put on a 48-21 clinic over Ohio scoring on their first 5 possessions. It wasn’t until late in the game that Troy was forced to punt.
Troy provided a Christmas treat for all the remaining fans by calling in the punting unit. Troy punter Will Goggans showed-off his leg by punting the ball to the 1-yard line and then showed off his mug sporting a beard that rivals that of Santa Claus.

Apparently Goggans has been growing his beard all year to prepare for his role as Santa Claus in an upcoming play. Goggans takes whatever he does seriously and in his role as Santa Claus, a fake white beard just wouldn’t cut it. Teammates enjoy his beard, and even opposing players, throughout the season, wanted to pose with the Santa Claus smile.
Goggans hands down wins the best beard award for college football.
