Some very sad news is coming out of Denver. Former South Carolina wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead in his Centennial home from an apparent suicide earlier today in Arapahoe County. There are very few details surrounding this breaking news, but authorities did confirm and identify the body of Kenny McKinley.
McKinley, a fifth round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 2009, was a stud receiver out of South Carolina. He was a three year starter for the Gamecocks, amassing 207 receptions (third most in the SEC), 2,781 receiving yards, and 19 TDs. As a Bronco he played in 8 games his rookie season. He led all rookies by averaging at least 22 yards per kick-off return and 10 yards per punt return. This season, the Broncos placed McKinley on IR for his nagging knee injury.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to McKinley and his family.
